Professional Work

Since graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 2016 I have worked in design and architecture practices in Edinburgh, Los Angeles, London and Turin. The projects I have been involved in have varied in scale from art installations to a £200M Tech HQ for Jaguar Land Rover.

Most recently, at Carlo Ratti Associati, I managed strategic partnerships and marketing campaigns for Scribit, a startup out of Turin that has developed the world's first write & erase robot.

Academic + Personal Projects

While studying Architecture at the University of Edinburgh, I developed a strong interest in digital design methodology and digital fabrication, learning to use cutting-edge tools, not merely as the means and ends of architectural production but as a way of engaging with - and responding to - real world problems relating to cultural, political, economic and social change: from the remediation of contaminated landscapes to the future of food.

Branding + Graphic Design

I have always been interested in how design can be used as a tool to affect change and influence behavior. At 13 I began designing logos for clients I connected with through the internet.

Since then, I have never stopped striving to hone my visual design skills and have created brand identities and other graphic design work for clients across the globe and across all sectors. My focus on brand identity has made me an expert in being able to distill a concept, or a set of brand values to its essence and translate this into a recognizable and meaningful graphical mark.

LOGO DESIGN

My earliest graphic design related achievement was creating the logo for the 2008 Singapore Property Awards when I was still 13 (although the client was unaware of my age), which they used for the next 7 years and featured in all their branded material - appearing alongside the CNN logo (who was a sponsor of theirs) during their award ceremonies.

Dog Day Spice Rubs

LOGO & Packaging design

I worked with the owners of Dog Day Spice Rub, a small batch BBQ spice rub company, to design the branding and packaging for their complete product line. For the owners, Greg and Kerry, Dog Days is much more than just a business, it is a passion-fueled project to help people make fantastic food. Dog Day Spice Rub makes six different unique rubs for different meat applications.

About me

With expertise in architecture, branding, and marketing, as well as a personal interest in the financial markets, I am seeking opportunities to help solve humanity's most pressing challenges.

With a background in architecture I am eager to continue exploring how design and innovation can improve our world. My international upbringing has allowed me to immerse myself in different cultures and to see how, in spite of our differences, we are bound by many more similarities. In light of this understanding, I have always been attracted to solving problems on a global scale.

I am passionate about tackling the issues of climate change, the impact of automation on the future of work and how we must redesign almost every aspect of our lives to embrace sustainability through circularity and ensure a healthy future for humanity on Earth.

Trading + Broadcasting

Beyond design, I have had a long time curiosity and passion for the financial markets, which began when I traded my first shares at the age of 13.

In 2018 I decided to commit myself to exploring this interest. I developed discretionary options trading strategies for the S&P500 index and E-mini S&P500 futures based on analysis of intraday volume profile.

During this period, I gained an audience of viewers to whom I broadcast my daily trading on the Twitch streaming platform.

Strategic PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER

In 2019 I joined the team at Scribit - a robotics startup based in Turin, Italy that was spun out of MIT professor Carlo Ratti's Design Innovation firm, Carlo Ratti Associati (CRA).

There, I was responsible for the Scribit Originals, a special marketing project which leveraged creative partnerships with world-renowned artists. designers, thinkers, writers, philosophers and scientists to gain media attention for Scribit.

Beyond negotiating and managing the collaborations, I was also responsible for the production of the artworks, video production and event management as well as writing press releases.

I worked on multiple projects within the UK, including a £200m office development for Jaguar Land Rover – one of the first projects in the office to use Building Information Modelling (BIM) – as well as a theatre, museum and an urban planning project. SUMMER 2014
VOLUNTEER

I was one of 20 volunteers from the UK to take part in the Design, Build, Skate 2014 project to create two skate-parks in the Palestinian Territories. I raised funds for the project and worked on the initial planning in Edinburgh, continuing to support the in-country group by building digital models of the sites. Unfortunately, the volatile situation on the ground during the scheduled construction period meant that I was not able to contribute to the physical construction of the project.
